Wedding. It presents an option in which the Wiesenburg and its listed buildings, and the Wiesenburgers can best be protected, and thereby ensuring a positive development for all parties.
Degewo suggests to the the architects that their development plans do not include the current tenants, and cannot imagine that the current Wiesenburgers and the Sammelhalle could be compatible with their economic constraints.

Degewo spokesman, Ackermann, confirms internal communication problems, states that the argument for a 'domino effect of collapsing vaulted ceilings' has been removed, and says that there was no survey but a written statement from surveyors that 'Die Wiesenburg e.V.' can have access to. He expressly stated that the living quarters of the carpenter have been approved and only the entrance at the back has been closed off (two days later during a visit to the Wiesenburg, Degewo members contradicted this statement and again barred access to his living quarters).

A return to their premises cannot be guaranteed and no short-term safety or redevelopment measures are planned. They will be decided upon only after a lengthy project development. Most of the tenants are offered newly renovated office spaces in the outer districts of Berlin as alternatives.
The closure is based on a questionable structural survey which implies a possible 'domino efffect' due to the collpase of some vaulted ceilings in the cellars, even though there are areas with no cellars. There are no collapsed vaulted ceilings in the Wiesenburg. Degewo states the the Verein can look at the survey - as yet this has not happened (5.12.2015).
